Having reached 40 I wanted to return to playing music and the saxophone appealed to me. Many years ago I played a trumpet in a marching band. I have found learning the saxophone with Geoff to be a fantastic way to switch off from the pressures of work and the social aspects involved in learning an instrument are fun and enjoyable. Geoff has been teaching me for over three years now and I have just recently taken my Grade 4, results pending. I find Geoff to professional and yet creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere which is so important if you want to progress with learning an instrument. I am now working towards grade 5 and hope that in the near future I will be at a standard which will enable me to play in a group or band. I can highly recommend Geoff to anyone who finds the saxophone an appealing instrument and wants to learn to play it.

Geoff is a fantastic teacher. His patience knows no bounds and is matched by his professionalism and knowledge of music. Alicia (aged 15) has been playing the saxophone for 6 months. Geoff loaned Alicia an instrument for the first couple of weeks until she knew it was the instrument for her. Geoff is patient and enthusiastic and clearly enjoys teaching as well as playing. Alicia has made fantastic progress; passed Grade 2 with distinction awaiting results for grade 3 – all in 6 months! Our 13 year old son, Alex has played the alto sax for 5 years.Originally learning via his school. He has had lessons with Geoff now for over 2 years.
